A Wonderful Summer Day

One of the wonderful things about summer days
is that you don't have to feel totally guilty about relaxing.
I had a great day and got to do whatever I wanted :)
I spent a lot of it with friends that I love.

One of my favorite summer activities is garage saling.
I found this chair for $17!
I love love love it!

It is a beautiful addition to my bedroom.
I threw on a couple of pillows.
The pink one is second hand and...
the brown is a homemade 21st B-day present from my seeeester.

I am really into contrasting textures/patterns right now.

What better way to complete a summer afternoon...
than a sweetened passion tea lemonade from Starbucks?!

I spent time in my front yard enjoying all the sun I could get.

I give ALL the credit to our beautiful flower bed to my roommate, Ashley Backus.
These, however, are the sunflowers about to bloom that she planted for me :)
They are my favorite flower!

I hope you all were able to take in all the sun we had today!

Wedding Date: march 24th. March 24th? MARCH 24?!

My fiance, Joshua, and I have decided to get married this coming March.
We feel so blessed to have each other and are excited for our wedding day.
Because this is a change in plans (we were planning on NEXT July)...
We have to get going on planning.
But I've already kinda done that ;)
My sweet heart will be home in a week for his two weeks leave from Afghanistan...
We are going to tour our (cross your fingers) perfect barn venue.

Praise the Lord that I was so anxious to start planning.
We are pretty set for center pieces (minus a few things).
We have a lot of decor purchased (still hunting).
NOW to finalize the venue, save the dates, and photographer.

Check out my previous entries!
I would be happy to have help from anyone that has suggestions :)

Dear Summer,

Hello everyone!
Though summer has been going on for a while now..
I feel like mine is just starting.
I've been at school so far, but that is about to end.
I am looking forward to spending more time with friends, family, and my fiance!

One thing I have had a chance to do this summer...
Is intern at the {McKenzie Willamette Medical Center}.
I love working there and look forward to going every week.

{Coffee} before heading off to the hospital.
I could get use to this :)

My dear friend Kierra has an fashion internship online.
She wrote about me on the college fashion blog.
She is very tallented and so sweet to have picked me :)
Read and Enjoy!!!

The Joys Of Planning

One month until Joshua comes home for his two weeks leave!
I am so excited to show him everything I have gotten so far for the wedding.
He is always so helpful.
I am so in love with him and I can't wait to be his wife :)
Having such a long time to plan the wedding, I was a little worried...
that my taste in decorations/theme might change.
Well, luckily I'm just falling more in love with everything I have done so far.
I can't wait to see how everything comes together on the {Big Day}!

I love this idea instead of programs.
Nobody really keeps programs at a wedding,
but it would be nice to have it printed out somewhere.

If I can collect enough {mason jars}...
I want to use them as cups.
This would be such a cute way of setting them out.

I have A Lot of picture frames already.
There are so many cute/creative decorations to use them for!

I already have my {perfect table} for the alter <3

I already have enough golden vintage candle sticks for our flower arrangements.
This is a really popular thing right now that I am so in love with.
Trial runs are {REALLY} needed, though.

I love baby's breath!!!

I hope you all have been having a great summer so far!
Let me know what you think of the ideas :)
If anyone has mason jars to spare after your summer canning let me know!!!

Something To Look Forwar To

I am so excited for my wedding day.
I feel so blessed to have found Joshua.
I am absolutely loving planning the wedding!

Joshua and I are going to look into the ideal venue when he comes home in August.
We would love to have a barn!
A dance floor is a must.
{PLUS} I love this wedding party table.
Fun seating outside :)
I already have two old windows
I love the idea of the table at the alter.
We will be (cross your fingers) getting married under a gazebo.
I got a super cute table last week!
This is a bigger item that I am still keeping my {eye out} for..
Thank you for reading my blog!
Let me know what you think ;)

Garage Sale Look Outs!

Because my wedding isn't until the summer of 2012
I have the opportunity to find some of the supplies I need at garage sales
{This Summer}
I have already begun collecting picture frames.
I love this idea...but there are also other things that I would like to use the picture frames for.
One of our bigger projects are these flower arrangements.
I already have several of these gold candle holders.
The hard part is going to be making them sturdy enough to hold up flowers.
But we have a while to practice :)
Just yesterday I picked up some broaches at a garage sale.
These will be used for the bridesmaids broaches and headpieces.
I can't wait for that {party}!
Finding the right old doors and windows is going to be
something that I will have to pick up this summer.
It will take a while to put together the ideas that we have accumulated for this project.
{CHRISTMAS LIGHTS}
One of the venues we are going to look at already has some in the barn.
But either way...we'll going to need more to get that glowing effect.

The goal is to fill the space with warmth and happiness.
Joshua and I both agree that we want our wedding to fun so much fun
and also time for us to always cherish with our friends and family.
